Aye Chihuahua!
After I retired from Southwest Airlines I started a dog daycare and boarding business called Tiny Dog Care. I watch 1 or 2 little dogs as pampered guests in my home along with my own two adorable longhair Chihuahuas Rocco and Riley. I adopted my dogs from Teresa of Teresa’s Chihuahuas (www.teresaschihuahuas.com). Since then, we have become good friends. Teresa and her friend Michelle wanted to start up a Chihuahua Club and I offered to host the first meeting in my house. I made Chihuahua themed sugar cookies and some of my homemade pumpkin puppy biscuits for them to take home to their own little doggies.
Wedding Dresses and Cakes
I made these cookies for a wedding reception my hairdresser Linda was hosting for her daughter Heather. Linda has been doing my hair for the last 14 years and I was so happy to make these for her family and friends to enjoy. Thank you Laurie for your help!
St. Patrick’s Day Birthday
My sweet little neighbor is celebrating her 4th birthday St. Patrick’s Day style. Nevaeh, or Nevi, as they call her is just adorable. I got to babysit her last week and what do you think we did? We baked pink cookies with frosting and sprinkles of course!!This week I was very happy to make her birthday cookies for her special St. Patrick’s Day birthday party.

Here comes the bride……
It seems like a lot of my friends daughters are getting married, having bridal showers and engagement parties… I love doing wedding theme cookies. Something about the white on white, or ivory on ivory with luster dust or disco dust for sparkle looks so elegant. Here are a few I have done recently:
Pink Paris Bunco Party
I have been playing Bunco for the last 14 years with the same friends. We each take turns hosting the monthly party and I l usually plan my chosen month around the current holiday. I did a last minute switch with someone and Valentine’s Day had just passed and it was still too early to think shamrocks. I chose a fun pink Paris party theme. I had not yet put away my pink plates and candles from Valentines Day (I love pink!) My friend Amber bought me a beautiful copper Fleur de Lis cutter from her trip to New Orleans and I had a new poodle cutter I was dying to try out. I printed off the bunco score sheets to look like a French passport. I found an Eiffel tower and poodle images on Google images. I wrapped the prize money in little pink lunch bags from Michael’s, and added a tag and ribbon to the bag.
On the menu was French Onion Dip, Artichoke Jalapeno Dip, mini quiches, apple slices with cheese, pink macarons filled with chocolate ganache, Paris themed cookies, chocolate cherry bark( recipe from Confessions of a Cookbook Queen) French Berry sparkling lemonade (Trader Joe’s) and pink champagne.
