I am going to Chicago this weekend to visit with cousins on my husbands side and do some research on the family. i have been working with a nice man over the phone with the La Salle County Genealogy Guild and decided to make some treats for the staff and my cousins.
Of course I packaged some up for the airline crew as well! We fly free as airline retirees and my daughter Michelle is a flight attendant for Virgin America. I love to make treats for the crew when we fly and send them along on her trips when she is working. The crew always appreciates getting homemade goodies from Michelle’s mom!

Very cute! I really like the different patterns you did on the leaves. And your lettering is beautiful! Do you have any tips for someone that needs to improve their icing writing?
Thank you Janine! I have always had neat writing on paper but it wasn’t until I switched to using PME tips for writing ( I use a 1.5 PME tip for writing) that I noticed a huge difference. You can get them on karenscookies.net Karen even did a blog post I wrote in to her about using PME tips on her blog. They are my favorite tips!
Awesome! I actually just got a couple 1.5 PME tips cause I heard they are better than Wilton. I’ll have to try them out for writing.
Adorable Kris! Have a great trip!!!
Hey Kris, looks like you have been busy. Very cute! I can’t believe that you are ready for another trip. Have fun!
