My friend Maureen ordered some cookies to send to her son and his friend who are serving in the Marines in Okinawa. These were a new design for me, I have never made them before but I am always up for a challenge! I really had fun making them and am so proud of all our men and women serving our country. I appreciate the great sacrifices they make for us each day.
I love summer, anything tropical and beachy is my kind of fun. I made these for my husbands office meeting, and for some new cousins that we think are our cousins we met online through ancestry.com We are meeting them for lunch in person, the teenagers are into volleyball and she is a hairstylist and they live at the beach, hence the specific cookie shapes to match! We plan to compare family notes and records to find our connection. Should be a fun day..
I made these Hot Air Balloon cookies for a baby shower my husbands co-worker was hosting. The balloon cookies and ribbons matched the color of the invitation. I used a basketweave technique I learned from a tutorial by Sweet Ambs (http://amberspiegel.blogspot.com/2012/02/basket-weave-basics.html) and she broke down the technique very simply and it was easy to follow. Thank you Amber….
I was really honored to be asked to make such fun cookies for a longtime family friends baby’s 1st Birthday. The nautical theme and colors of red, light blue, and navy really came out cute. I used her decorations and invitation for inspiration and was happy she gave me creative freedom for the shapes and designs. I love how she displayed the cookie favors in a boat, so cute!Thank you Britney!
